COURSE OBJECTIVE
LEARNING OUTCOMES
SYNOPSIS Emergency plan means considerably more than providing a first-aid kit, stretcher, emergency shower and eye-wash fountain or fire blanket. Instead, there should be a written plan of action for every facility detailing the action to be taken when an emergency occurs. This ensures appropriate responses when facing extraordinary circumstances. The effectiveness of any of these plans is usually proportionate to the thoroughness and soundness of the planning effort. Risk control professionals are expected to make speedy decisions and execute decisive actions at the time of an emergency. It can result in lives saved and limit the extent of damage. It provides the means of those responsible to engage appropriate actions of these plans to concentrate on solving major problems under chaotic circumstances. |
